GENERAL NOTES:75-80' steep cliff. Decent lift with moderate onshore flow and big lift in windy conditions. Large LZ covered with brush. Moderate rotor at top of slope. Cliff recovery is not possible so a fishing pole with heavy line and large tuna lure is advisable. If the Ranger is manning the kiosk it costs $10 to get in but the kiosk is frequently closed during the off-season and after 5pm. Regular flyers buy a yearly pass for $125. |
DRIVING DIRECTIONS:Go S on SR-1 (Pacific Coast Hwy.) for 3.7 mi. from the junction of MacArthur Blvd. or N on SR-1 for 3.1 mi. from the junction of SR-133 (Laguna Canyon Rd.) to Reef Point Dr. (traffic light). Turn towards the ocean into the parking lot. Turn RIGHT at the Tee past the Ranger kiosk and park near the center of the lot. Follow dirt path towards ocean to the slope. |
